What Do I Need to Know when Reading a Food Label ?
Foods labels continue to evolve as the Food and Drug Administration puts more and more demands on food manufactures. This is great for the consumer so we can have the information we need to make make educated decisions about what goes into our bodies. However, It also has become more complicated to understand what some of these ingredients are and what to look for. Sugar for example, is listed on food labels with scientific names that most consumers have never heard of or would never know they have anything to do with sugar. Here are a list of words to look out for. If you are concerned about your sugar consumption, be aware of this list as these are all forms of sugar.
