It's "March Madness"!!! How Can I Eat Healthy At Sporting Events ?
We are down to the final four and my sports fans out there want to know "How can I eat well and stay healthy at a sports arena?" Here are some tips that can help:

Eat a snack or meal before you go to the game

Instead of drinking a soda at the game, opt for a bottle of water.

Instead of choosing to eat a jumbo pretzel, consider getting a fruit salad.

If you must drink an alcoholic beverage , opt for a lite beer

Walk around the stadium during half time and burn calories

Bring your own whole wheat deli flat for a hamburger or hot dog.

Stay away from potato salad, creamy coleslaw, or anything else with a lot of mayonnaise and fat.

Offer to bring a great big fruit salad for the tailgate parties

Pack an apple and sandwich in your bag before you go..

Check out all the food venues where the game is, you may even be able to find Sushi :)

If you simply cannot find suitable healthy choices, just remember moderation is the key to success. Even eating half a burger or half an order of fries, adds up to hundreds of saved calories!!!

A 175 pound person can actually burn 125 calories an hour watching a basketball game. So get up and cheer and hopefully you may even burn what you eat!!
