Healthy Food Options at the Airport

Thanksgiving is approaching and that means plenty of you are off to the airport to visit family and friends. It was once so easy to pack up food for your trip or even know you would get a meal on the plane. Now that airport security is so tight we must rely on what the airports can provide us with. There are so many unhealthy food choices when we travel. Here is a list of some healtheir options:

Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal

McDonald's Premium Bacon Ranch Salad with Grilled Chicken

Starbucks Multigrain Bagel

Dunkin' Donuts Egg White Veggie Flatbread

Chili's "guiltless" salmon with sides of black beans and steamed vegetables

Panda Express mixed Veggies and Steamed Rice

Hudson News:Special K Chocolate Peanut Protein Snack Bar,Snak Club Tropical Mix Dried Fruit,Wheat Thins

These are just a few ideas, there are also many places where you can get fresh fruit, sandwiches on whole grain bread, yogurt parfaits with fresh fruit, Hummus and chips and protein bars. Most importantly, since you cannot take beverages through security , buy two bottles of water per person in order to stay hydrated on your journey.
