Transition Into Law Practice Program

This is the current listing of Georgia Beginning Lawyers who are taking the bold step of hanging out a shingle as a sole practitioner. Each Beginning Lawyer is required to comply with the Transition Into Law Practice Program ("TILPP").

Because these Beginning Lawyers are starting a new business and learning the practice of law at the same time, a one-on-one pairing with an experienced attorney who has traveled the same path could make the difference for his or her success and retention in the practice of law.

5 Areas Small Firms Fall Short
By Justin Miller, JTM Consulting, LLC

On Thursday, September 19th Justin Miller, CEO and Founder of JTM Consulting, LLC, presented at our SP/SF Section breakfast at the Buckhead Club on running a law firm more like a business and less like a profession. He generated some valuable discussion in the room around topics such as actively listening to clients, regularly evaluating the health of the business, value pricing, innovation, and legal project management. Justin specializes in building more productive, more profitable solo and small practices and is based here in Atlanta.
