January 2015 Events and Information

Dear ,

We hope you're all enjoying the holiday break with lots of fun, friends, and family, and that last night isn't making today too rough. Take a look at the events and information below so you know what's in store for January.

We'll see you on Monday, January 5.

Hot Lunch: Tired of making lunches everyday yet? You can still sign up for the DVMS Hot Lunch program. Click here for details and forms.

Upper Elementary Families: As we noted in the December "Events and Information" newsletter, your children will be skiing at Chicopee on Monday, February 2, and Monday, February 9. (This will be their Outdoor Education program activity on those weeks; there will be no Thursday/Friday programming).

  • We need this waiver form filled out and returned to DVMS by January 15, please. There is also a Parent Checklist provided by the ski hill. (You may have better success downloading the files before printing them. Please see Skye or Jason in the office if you need a hard copy of either).
  • The children will travel to and from Chicopee by bus; they need to be at DVMS no later than 8:15 a.m. on skiing days. DVMS is covering the cost of skiing, transportation, and a majority of rental fees, but there is a fee of $15 per ski excursion for children who need to rent equipment. (If your child has skis and boots, please let us know at admin@dvms.ca). Please return waivers and any rental fees to the DVMS office. Thank you.
  • We also have a number of applications for the Canadian Ski Council's Snowpass program for students in grades 4 and 5. The pass is $29.95 and provides three lift tickets at participating ski hills across Canada.

Thank you for taking the time to read the DVMS Event and Information Parent Newsletter. Please add this important information to your calendar. All of the event details can also be found on the DVMS website calendar at the link above. The website calendar is a Google calendar, so you can easily add important dates directly to your own.
