There are two purposes of a starter kit:  (a) to get your reps off to a good start and (b) to set an appropriate barrier to entry for your income opportunity.

Which states require filing or registration?

 

In the USA, most states don't require that multilevel marketing companies file or register with them.

 

However, several of them do.

 

Party plan companies are not exempt from these requirements.

 

To be legally compliant in these states, you or your MLM attorney needs to file or register your company.
