Houston Chronicle's Front Page: The Heart of Texas Foundation and Darrington Seminary. Two Articles From Chronicle.
We are delighted and deeply appreciative for the two favorable articles covering the work of The Heart of Texas Foundation which were released today.
The first article is on the front page of the Houston Chronicle. You may go to the www.houstonchronicle.com web site and "subscribe" to read it online, or just buy a paper today! This front-page article article was written by veteran Chronicle reporter Allan Turner, who visited Darrington last week and spent many hours interviewing faculty, students, The Heart of Texas Foundation, and even Louisiana's Angola Warden Burl Cain and their seminary director Dr. John Robson.
The second article is on the Chronicle's web-newspaper, www.Chron.com. Here is a link to that artic le, written by Ken Chitwood of the Chron.com staff.
We are so thankful for this unrequested but deeply appreciated publicity to help the citizens of our precious state, and all the legislators who read it today, learn more of what we are doing to help bring a new kind of prison reform to Texas. Other states are asking the Foundation for help and want to follow the "Texas-Angola Model." This effort will bring greater levels of peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation to our prisons and ultimately to our neighborhoods.
While many of our supporters, covenant partners, and organizations such as Rotary were not mentioned, I know that all of you will rejoice at this unexpected display of support for our work.
We deeply, sincerely, thank you for your encouragement and support. We have so much to do, and the "gates" are open!
Standing under the waterfall of God's grace, alongside you,
Grove Norwood
