Scout Shop
Monday-Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm
Greetings to all,
As most of you now know, we are finally settled in our new location and all is going very well. I LOVE our new home and I think you will too! Please stop by and visit if you haven't already checked it out.
As for new items in the store, we now have Raingutter Regatta merchandise available for the Cub Scouts (including an inflatable track), both types of Boy Scout Handbooks (paperbound and coil) are available to purchase at our location if you are looking for them, and the 2nd Volume of the Troop Leaders' Guidebook is on order, but it is currently on backorder, so we're just waiting for those to arrive and I'll let you know when they do. I also have a very family friendly Disney movie, a classic, called FOLLOW ME BOYS starring Fred McMurray, that is about scouting and is rated G so it would be very appropriate to show to the kids if you want to have that as a part of some family time. for the ladies, a new tote is in stock for you to carry all of your scouting paperowork and/or goodies in and FINALLY an assortment of Ladies Class A uniform shirts for you to choose from as well.
So Please stop by, and feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions at all.
Yours in Scouting,
Jennifer Mcpeters
Your CVC Scout Shop Manager

Scouts Below Deck
On Saturday, April 2nd, 13 Scouts and 10 Leaders/Parents from Troop 158 in Newport News toured the fast attach submarine USS BOISE (SSN 764) at the Naval Station Norfolk. Scouts learned first hand where sailors sleep, eat, and work onboard. They toured the torpedo room and control room, and even got to look out the periscopes! The weather was rainy and cold, but was overcome by the warm reception of the sailors on duty on Saturday who took time out of their schedule to share their experiences. Troop 158 is chartered by Hidenwood Presbyterian Church. Troop 158 wishes to thank USS BOISE for her hospitality!
