The Boy Scouts of America, Colonial Virginia Council invites the Scouts, volunteers, families, and the general public to come "Swing a Sledge for Scouting", beginning Wednesday, September 17th at the Scout Service Center, located at 11721 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, Virginia. Participants will be able to swing a sledge hammer at a car to raise money and awareness for the Boy Scouts of America, one of the largest youth serving organizations in Hampton Roads.
Participants are asked to donate $20.00 in exchange for three swings at the vehicle. Safety goggles and a hard hat are provided. The vehicle will be available Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. each day, beginning on September 17th and ending October 25th.
