LEESVILLE, La.-- There will be two groundbreaking events taking place for the new handicap playground equipment that will be installed at two of the City parks.
At noon, September 28, 2015, the first groundbreaking will take place at the park located at the Leesville Municipal Golf Course. Donors, media, and residents are invited to attend.
Also at noon, October 12, 2015, the second groundbreaking will take place at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.
Two ADA Combination Swings (wheel-chair accessible) and 1 face-to-face swings (allows adult and child to swing together) will be placed at the Leesville Municipal Golf Course Park
One ADA Combination Swing (wheel-chair accessible) and 1 face-to-face swing (allows adult and child to swing together) will be placed at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center park.
The City was able to purchase the new equipment by the donations of more than 60 individuals and businesses. One of the swings will be placed at the golf course park in honor of Macy SanNicolas, granddaughter of Darrell Woofter who lead the charge in gathering donations.
