Downtown Events September 19, 2015
LEESVILLE, La.-- There are many events coming to downtown Leesville September 19, 2015, including a car show, arts and crafts festival, a fundraiser basketball tournament/pancake breakfast, and charity motorcycle ride. 

The City of Leesville and Harvey's Auto Parts are co-sponsoring Leesville Cruise-In. This is a free car show open to all trucks, motorcycles, and cars. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Upper Third Street. Vending spaces are still available with no charge to participate. To view a flyer for this event click here.

Jillybean's Studio will be having a Fall Art Show and Craft Fair featuring 25 artists, crafters, and home-based businesses. This is an in-door event. Jillybean's Studio is located at 303 E. Texas Street.

Faith Training Christian Academy will be holding its inaugural Boots vs. Badges Basketball Tournament and Pancake Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. until noon.

The basketball tournament will feature the Leesville Police Department competing against the Leesville Fire Department, and the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office will battle Acadian Ambulance Services. Games are set to begin at 10 a.m.

For those that would like to attend the cost is $9.00 for the tournament and breakfast. If you would only like to participate in one of the activities the cost is $5.00/activity. All of the proceeds from this fundraising event will go to the Patriots Athletic Booster Club.

The American Legion Post 145 will conduct its 5th Annual Dennis Dow Adopt-a-Senior Ride on the 19th as well. Money raised from this motorcycle ride will go to the local Adopt-a-Senior Program. Riders fee is $20 and passengers are $10. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and kickstands go up at 9:30 a.m.

For anyone that would like to venture outside of Leesville that weekend the annual Slagle Trade Days will be September 18 and 19.
