Lowe's of Leesville Donates $3,360 of Product to City of Leesville
LEESVILLE, La.-- Lowe's of Leesville, as part of its community giving program, donated $3,360 worth of products to various City departments today, August 24, 2015. The Martin Luther King Jr. Center was the biggest recipient, receiving a new freezer, two new picnic tables, and 26 cases of Gatorade from the company. Other departments that received Gatorade were the Fire Department, the Police Department, the Golf Course, and Public Works. The Fire Department also received cooling towels.

Tracy Silver and Lowe's General Manager Andrew Ozolins of the Leesville store arranged for the delivery of the merchandise.

"We can't thank Lowe's enough," said Leesville Mayor Rick Allen. "The City is proud to partner with Lowe's in providing area children a safe place to be. The Martin Luther King Center, under the direction of Leroy Stokes and Sonny Harrell, does just that. With its after school program and Go for the Gold Summer Program, the MLK Center serves anywhere from 50-75 children every day."

Also on hand to receive the donation and thank Lowes were City officials, including MLK Center staff members Stokes and Harrell, Mayor Allen, Councilman Chris Robertson, Councilman Tony Shapkoff, Councilwoman Willie Mae Kennedy, City Administrator Richard Karamatic, Sheriff Sam Craft, and various other employees including police and fire personnel.
