LEESVILLE, La.--Bring your chairs or blankets to downtown Leesville for a summer evening of music. Will Payne Harrision will perform tracks from his debut album, Louisiana Summer, at 6 p.m., July 18, 2015 at Polk Outdoor Theatre located at the corner of 4th and East Texas in Historic Downtown Leesville.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Harrison, a Nashville based singer/songwriter, is originally from Louisiana with a knack for storytelling and a longing for home. With his debut album, Louisiana Summer, Harrison challenges himself to explore greater emotional depths including earnest struggles with fear, love, faith and loss. In his previous band, The Onlies, Harrison landed tracks in David Letterman's Production Company's We Made This Movie, The Shelter starring Michael Pare (Virgin Suicides), and the 2015 remake of the classic Black Beauty starring Luke Perry.
Louisiana Summer is an 11-track record slated to be out independently in September 2015. The album also features Fawn Larson on fiddle and harmonica, Caleb Edwards on mandolin and Katie Blomarz on upright bass.
With Louisiana Summer, Harrison and his band look forward to bringing a little bit of Nashville and a little bit of Louisiana to the rest of the world.
Kaleb Ganaway will also be preforming, and from 5 p.m. until the concert begins fun activities will be available for children. Domino's will be on site offering refreshments.
