MLK Announces Go for the Gold Summer Enrichment & Recreation Program

LEESVILLE, La.--The City of Leesville announces that the Martin Luther King Center has partnered with the Dunbar Branch of the Vernon Parish Library to provide storytelling presentations and opportunities for area children to check out books for the library's summer reading program.


K-6 Go for the Gold Summer Enrichment & Recreation Program will be offered from June 15, 2015-July 23, 2015, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.


"The purpose of the Go for the Gold Summer Enrichment & Recreation Program is to continue to provide basic reinforcement of core subject skills for area children along with arts and crafts and structured recreation," said Sonny Harrell, an organizer of the program.
