Leesville Churches Team up to Host Block Party, Install Equipment at Myrtle Park
|
LEESVILLE, La.-The First Baptist Church of Leesville and East Leesville Baptist cooperated in throwing a block party at Myrtle Park March 14.
Children played baseball and basketball, while the adults installed a new basketball goal for everyone to enjoy, and when the work was done everyone had a hot dog cooked up by Seth De Kam.
"We love that the church has taken the time to get involved in the community. Hopefully this is just the first of many such groups investing in Leesville's growth," said Leesville Mayor Rick Allen.
Executive Pastor Jerry Key of East Leesville Baptist Church encourages anyone who wants to work alongside them in similar projects in the future to contact the church at 337-239-3733.
