ICYMI: Leesville One of Louisiana's Top 10 Affordable Places to Live

LEESVILLE, La--According to a study done by smartasset.com, Leesville has ranked fifth in Louisiana's top 10 Affordable Places to Live. Nationally, Leesville is ranked 274 out of every county in the U.S., and every city with a population greater than 5,000.

The rankings were based on closing costs, real estate taxes, homeowners insurance and mortgage rates over a period of five years.

"This is a huge accolade for our community," said Leesville Mayor Rick Allen. "We strive to provide, both for our long-time residents and those who are newly arrived, a stable hometown atmosphere that provides a multitude of opportunities for families who are looking for a place to settle down."
