LEESVILLE, La.--A couple of events in downtown Leesville will provide a fun venue for Mardi Gras revelers this year.
Mardi Gras Festival Leesville Main Street is set to conduct its inaugural Mardi Gras Festival Feb. 14, beginning at 10 a.m. and running until 4 p.m.
The festival will be arranged around the Old Courthouse lawn, with food vendors set up along Courthouse Ave.; craft stalls on the lawn; and musical performers playing on the court steps.
Spaces are still available for vendors. The price is $30 for a booth and $40 if you need electricity. Special discounts are offered to churches for fundraising activities.

Mardi Gras ParadeThe 2015 Greater Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce Mardi Gras Parade is also set to roll at 2 p.m. on Third Street in downtown Leesville.
Float line up begins at noon, with all entries in place prior to 1:30 p.m. All entries should be decorated for Mardi Gras. Costumes are encouraged, and throwing of beads or candy is required.
