City of Leesville Requests Site Addresses Be Displayed on All Buildings

Leesville, La.-The City of Leesville, in order to shorten emergency response times and in accordance with City ordinance (Ch.94 Sec. 94-5) and the International Building Code (2012, 319), is requesting that all property owners within the City limits display their site address on all buildings.

The physical address of each building should be placed so that it is legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers should contrast with their background and be Arabic numbers or alphabetical letters at least 4 inches in height and with a minimum stroke width of inch.

Having address numbers displayed in such fashion will aid in shortening response times for fire, police and medical personnel.

Questions should be addressed to the building department at (337) 238-2282.
