Mayor Rick Allen proclaims Oct. 12 Pastor Appreciation Day in Leesville, Recognizes Pastor Harrison Fields, Sr.

LEESVILLE-- Leesville Mayor Rick Allen proclaimed October 12 to be Pastor Appreciation Day,

recognizing Pastor Harrison Fields, Sr. for his unselfish, humble, and dedicated service to all humanity.

 

Fields, a native of Ferriday and married to Lorraine Williams-Fields, is a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

 

Pastor Fields is considered to be an outstanding man and leader in the community; he is commended for his service to his church and the City of Leesville.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science from Grambling University and a Masters of Education from McNeese State University. He has pastored the New Willow Baptist Church in Leesville for 54years. He is a member of the Vernon Ministerial Alliance, President Emeritus of the Vernon Ministerial Association, and serves as the First Vice President of the Calcasieu Union M&E Baptist Association.

 

He is a retired educator, and was a special needs instructor at Vernon Middle School, has served as an instructor for the Congress of Christian Education, and is an active member of the Baptist National Convention USA, Inc.
