Third Annual Change for Main Banquet and Piccadilly Auction set for Aug. 23

Participants at the 2013 Change for Main Banquet and Piccadilly Auction observe bid items before the auction.

LEESVILLE, LA  - The Friends of Leesville Main Street are gearing up for an exciting evening at the Third Annual Change for Main Banquet and Piccadilly Auction set for Saturday, August 23.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar cocktail hour, followed by dinner catered by Deep South Catering. Participants can enjoy live music from Jordan Anderson.

The event is the organization's largest fundraiser during the year, and this year will be no different. Funds raised are used for capital improvements throughout the city of Leesville. This year, the goal is to raise funds for the Love Our Locals promotions campaign to help local small businesses. The organization will help to purchase a new bicycle for the police department as well.

"The support and response from the local community is not only why we host this event, but it's one of the reasons we are able to move Leesville forward," said Sam Kincade, Leesville main street manager. "Since our inaugural event in 2012, this event has gotten bigger and bigger, and has impacted the community in a number a different ways. Last year we were able to raise $8,000 to return back to the community in capital improvements such as the Main Street Market and Polk Outdoor Theatre. We are very excited to host an event that acknowledges the hard work, dedication and determination of the people of Leesville."

There are a limited number of tickets still available for the event. Tickets include dinner and participation in the auction. Individual tickets are $30, couple's tickets are $50, and a full table reservation for 8 people is available for $200. Businesses can also participate by donating auction items for the evening, and items are tax deductible.

If you or your business is interested in participating and attending the Annual Change for Main Banquet and Piccadilly Auction, please contact Sam Kincade at (337) 239-2444 ext. 9.
