Tips to Keep Your Home Safe for All

April 2015

"Winner of the 2014 Newport County Chamber of Commerce Business Entrepreneur of the Year"

Greetings!

Sometimes it just feels good and right to pay it forward. We have been working with our clients, the Walters, Paul and Dora, for a couple of years. Linda heard about ABC's Pay It Forward program for veterans in partnership with Liberty Mobility and knew the Walters could really use an electric chair. As a respected veteran,  Linda submitted Paul's name and he was notified by Liberty Mobility in late March.

Paul served in the Navy for 20 years aboard several different vessels. He was among the troops who took part in the Cuban Blockade and also served aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy. Some of his most vivid memories include surviving eight river patrols in Vietnam that came under enemy fire. Paul's service was recognized with a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and a Navy Accommodation Medal. He lives with his wife, Dora in Middletown.

A big thanks to Liberty Mobility for hosting this contest!

Congratulations, Paul - you deserve it!!

The Spring weather has given folks the opportunity to get out and about. We invite you to visit us at the Center for Adaptive Living at High Point with your questions about home elevators, stair lifts, ceiling lifts, grab bars and wheel chair ramps. We're here to help!

Project of the Month:
Holy Dormition Orthodox Parish

When the priest-in-charge came to us about putting in a Vertical Platform Lift, we were excited because the church's vision included a dome on the lift to match the architecture of the church. We constructed the lift in the first two weeks of January, but needed to put the operational parts in place. And then the weather conspired against us. By the time the massive drifts retreated we were able to finish the project in time for Holy Dormition to celebrate their Easter services!
