Tips to Keep Your Home Safe for All

November 2014
"Winner of the 2014 Newport County Chamber of Commerce Business Entrepreneur of the Year"

Welcome to our November newsletter. We are in full autumn mode with an eye to the skies, waiting for the first flakes to fly! With that said, anyone who has outdoor lifts might want to consider a comprehensive service of equipment to be fully prepared for what may come. If you have a unit, say at a vacation home, and you won't use it at all, you may want to consider properly securing it for the season.

Proper service is essential for all types of lifts - in-door as well as out-door. These before

and after photos of an elevator shaft and pit infested with black mold and decay tell a pretty powerful story. The home owner contacted us complaining of a foul odor coming from their elevator. We responded, discovered the problem, remediated it and everything turned out just fine. This elevator had not been inspected or serviced in years and the repair we did cost thousands.

Lesson learned? A yearly service visit would have found this condition early on and corrected it quickly. Remember, proper maintenance and service is always less expensive than extensive repair work. Please contact us with any questions or concerns. We're here to help.

All the best!

Project of the Month:
Outdoor Lifts should be secured for inclement weather
Rather than highlight a particular project, this month we would like to illustrate a component of general maintenance.

The seat cover's primary purpose should be to keep the seat clean and dry for when you wish to use the lift. Covers need to fit snugly, be waterproof but still be easy to remove and cover up after the lift is used.

Need tips about weather proofing your outdoor device? Call us toll-free at 855-447-6484 today!
