Tips to Keep Your Home Safe for All

June 2014

"Winner of the 2014 Newport County Chamber of Commerce Business Entrepreneur of the Year"

Greetings!

Spring has finally arrived and we are just as excited as you!  We know that many of our clients are finally getting the opportunity to venture outside of their homes and enjoy their surroundings and freedom.

We are happy to announce that this month will be our 2nd anniversary of Home Healthsmith LLC.  We incorporated our business in May of 2012 and this month are estatic to announce that we won the Business Entrepreneur of the Year at the Newport County Chamber of Commerce 2014 Excellence in Business Awards!  These awards are presented annually to honor outstanding business achievement in Newport County. They celebrate the achievements of local businesses and recognize the vital role they play in the economic well-being of the local community. We joined other nominees today, Tuesday, May 20th at Ochre Court, Salve Regina University in Newport, RI for the awards breakfast.

We will have many great announcements in the coming months!  We are looking forward to planning our expansion into a new administrative and warehouse space that will incorporate a retail store front.

Another Happy Home Healthsmith Client

Thanks, Peg F. from Worcester! When those around her were suggesting she had to move, she felt a stair lift would be a step backward. Now she feels it is a STEP FORWARD!  Home Healthsmith met with Peg and within a few days her stairlift was installed and she was able to go to her 2nd floor in comfort.

By signing up for the SafeHome Advantage Program, Peg and her family have the comfort of knowing we will be in her home 3 more times for visual and safety inspections.

Thanks Peg, for your confidence in us!

Time to unearth the PARSNIPS!

Winter has ended; the ground is thawed. Tulips are budding and you can harvest the

veggie that has been wintering in the ground. Parsnips are vegetables usually

associated with the fall and Thanksgiving - however they are perfect to dig up in early spring and start your vegetable season! Slightly tangy and just bit bitter, the Parsnip is a perfect accompaniment to many dishes. They can be used in place of potatoes or even mashed into potatoes. This recipe combines the parsnips with a warm and comforting chicken dish. Dig in the dirt, breath in the spring and eat your parsnips!
