Coweta County Library System Director Jimmy Bass has been appointed to two special committees. He was recently named by the Board of Regents to be on the Search Committee for the next State Librarian of Georgia. The committee will interview and make recommendations from the applicant pool to the Board's Chancellor. Also, Bass has been appointed to the Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) for West Georgia. The agency was created for the purpose of sharing services designed to improve the effectiveness of the educational programs of member school systems. The RESAs also assist the State Department of Education in promoting their initiatives. (Photo courtesy of Georgia Public Library Service) |
The Powell Branch Library will receive building improvements this month through a combination of funding thanks to Coweta County & the State of Georgia. Renovations include lighting enhancements throughout the building and new public restrooms. We are so excited for the building improvements and look forward to sharing them with you!
The branch will remain open during the renovations, so please excuse our mess and noise until we are finished! |
