United Way of Lake County:
Two Ways to Support CASA

CASA Lake County has been the grateful recipient of over $175,000 in grant funding from United Way of Lake County since 2008. When a donor participates in an employer-sponsored giving campaign, and doesn't choose to direct his or her gift at a particular charity, these funds are then allocated to several board-approved charities through the United Way grant program.

CASA can also receive donations directly from individuals through employee giving campaigns -- even if we're not listed on the form.
United Way LogoDonors can write in "CASA Lake County" and United Way will honor your choice. Donations must be at least $50 and be sure to specify Lake County as well. We are thankful for their support - and yours!
Thinking Outside the Gift Box

There are a number of ways to help abused and neglected children in our community. Here are three easy, alternative ways to give to CASA this year.

1. A Gift of Stock - Donating long-term appreciated securities to CASA is a great way to support the mission and receive outstanding tax benefits. Please work with your financial advisor and contact CASA's Executive Director, Terri Zenner Greenberg, with details and paperwork.

2. iGive.com - It's an online shopping mall where a portion of your purchase directly benefits a charity of your choice. Stop by iGive.com for more info.

3. Amazon Smile - A portion of all purchases made through Amazon, the online shopping website, will be donated to a charity of your choice - CASA Lake County! Simply check out Smile.Amazon.com for details.
Holiday Shopping Event Will Benefit CASA

You are cordially invited to join CASA for an evening of fun and philanthropy. Partner organization, Throw Like a Girl, is hosting a shopping event on November 19th, and a portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit CASA. Hope to see you there!

CASA Thanks Illinois State Bar Association
Young Lawyers Division

Again this past year, CASA was the grateful recipient of a grant from the Illinois State Bar Association - Young Lawyers Division. The grant will help support training and mentoring of volunteers and, in turn, assist more children in the year to come. We are thankful for their ongoing support and for understanding the needs of our community.

CASA is central to fulfilling society's most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child's right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family.

ComingTuesday, December 2nd

First there was "Black Friday," then "Cyber Monday."

Once again this year, CASA is  joining together with other nonprofit organizations across the US to help celebrate the spirit of giving -
because sometimes the best gifts don't come wrapped in packages with bows.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, CASA Lake County will participate in #GivingTuesday.

Please help us celebrate a year of life-changing accomplishments, and join other friends of CASA in making your year-end gift on  #GivingTuesday.
