Greetings!
Welcome back from Spring Break! As you know, Glen Taylor was featured in our Morgan Thomas Executive Lecture on March 5th. It was a huge event for our College, and it went very well. I'd like to thank Elizabeth Johnson and Renee Grams from the Dean's office for organizing the event, our faculty and staff for their support, and the 13 student ambassadors who welcomed our off-campus guests and did a wonderful job representing our student body. Our event was featured on the front page of The Free Press, and in the MSU Reporter. Check our facebook page for photos of the event, and click the video link below to see my interview with Glen Taylor. I look forward to more great events that connect our campus community with external partners in the business community. Thanks again to all who helped and attended! - Dean Flannery | Click image to view video |

Advising Tip
Dear Advisor, I am feeling overwhelmed with school work and I do not think I am doing as well as I could be in some of my classes. The semester is already halfway done! What should I do? Signed, Overwhelmed Dear Overwhelmed, The semester feels like it is going by quickly to me as well. There are many services on campus that you can take advantage of to assist with feeling overwhelmed, as well as academic difficulties. First, there is the Counseling Center which is located on the second floor of the Student Union. The Counseling Center is a great place to go if you want to talk with a professional personal counselor about how to manage feelings or deal with various issues you are facing. The Counseling Center even offers workshops on topics that affect many college students. The list of workshops and dates can be found here. If you are experiencing some academic difficulty or are not getting the grades you hope for, you may want to visit with the staff at the Center for Academic Success. They offer tutoring services as well as information on study skills. The Center for Academic Success is located in the lower level of the library. Wishing you success in the remainder of your classes! -Advisor Important Dates for Summer 2013: 2/22/13 - Summer Class Schedule available for viewing online 3/20/13 - First day of Summer Term Registration Before registering for COB classes, students need to complete the COB Laptop program form on-line http://cob.mnsu.edu/advising/forms.html
