SRJC Children's Center Celebrates Week of the Young Child |
April 6-12 is the Week of the Young Child.
This is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
The purpose is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
This year's celebration will feature several displays on the SRJC Campus. Advanced Practicum Students, Kristin Enbysk, Bianca Aldas, and Maria Payan have worked closely with the Doyle Library staff to prepare displays of children's art and learning activities throughout the library.
The library website will also feature 25 child artists displaying their work with interactive comments from the artists. Be sure to view the video of the children visiting the SRJC Dental Clinic, when one of their favorite stuffed animals has a toothache.
Celebrate the young child in all of us by visiting the Doyle Library and library website.
