Using Cutting Edge Technology to Support Fellow Students

Wednesday, Dec. 5, 4-6 pm

This training will involve the use of the Kognito "At-Risk" communication skills development; an online interactive video-game like program in which you engage with emotionally responsive student avatars who exhibit signs of distress. This program has been made available to California Community Colleges through a major grant in an ongoing effort to identify, approach, and refer students who may be experiencing psychological distress. In addition to the online training, this month's meeting will engage you in a discussion relating to student mental health and wellness led by Student Health Services staff members. This is a great opportunity to experience a new wave of professional training and mental health awareness building.

Great resume building opportunity! You will be a "Certified Gatekeeper".

Bertolini Student Center, Center for Student Leadership (location change at 5 pm to computer lab on 3rd floor of Doyle Library, Room 4420)
