Hard Turning - New rollers and roller repair
|
Bryant was asked to resurface 7" and 10" diameter D2 rollers used in cold rolled wire forming. The surface hardness on the rollers was 62HRC. The parts were heavily worn and we were able to repair these - a 500% savings to the customer! Hard turning is more efficient and less expensive than grinding. Hard turning allows for the finishing of radius and free-curved surfaces without requiring custom tooling. Hard turning cycle times are drastically shorter than comparable grinding operations, allowing for lower costs and shorter lead times.
Repairing not an option? We can also make new rollers!
