Our kick-off weekend at Library Square was a terrific beginning to another annual book festival, and things are just getting going. Join us through the end of October for author events throughout the state.

OCT. 1, 7:00 PM Brigham City Public Library, 26 E. Forest St.
Josh Hanagarne discusses his new book The World's Strongest Librarian. Hanagarne's memoir illuminates the mysteries of Tourette's and the very different worlds of strongman training and libraries. With humor and candor, this unlikely hero traces his journey to overcome his disability and navigate his wavering Mormon faith to find love and create a life worth living.

Join children's author Karl Beckstrand, whose work has appeared in Deseret Book, Children's Miracle Network, The Congressional Record of the U.S. House of Representatives, LDS Film Festival and various TV/radio broadcasts. What does he hope families will get out of his books? "LAUGHS, learning and family fun."
OCT. 15, 7:00 PM Brigham City Public Library, 26 E. Forest St.
Robison Wells discusses his new YA novel Blackout. Laura and Alec are highly trained teenage terrorists. Jack and Aubrey are small-town high school students. There was no reason for their paths to ever cross. But now a mysterious virus is spreading throughout America, infecting teenagers with impossible superpowers.

The Power of Literature: Utah Poet Laureate Lance Larsen.
Larsen will kick off Orem's annual community reading series
with discussion about the role and power of literature. Using
examples from his own work, Larsen will explore how literature

Boulder Community

The Boulder Heritage Foundation presents the 5th Annual Cliff Notes Writing Conference.
The faculty this year will feature poets David Lee and Eleanor Wilner as well as novelist Dianne Nelson Oberhansly. In addition to writing workshops, each author will give readings that are free and open to the public. For more information, visit: http://www.boulderheritage.org/
