PCHTF Honored at Habitat Key Awards
Annual event recognizes longtime supporters
The staff and Board of the Polk County Housing Trust Fund were honored to be recognized at Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity's annual Key Awards celebration on September 10. PCHTF was given a Community Key Award for its longtime support of Habitat's mission to build homes, communities, and hope for low-income Central Iowans. PCHTF has provided $1.2 million over the past three years alone to help GDM Habitat build 37 new homes and repair 120 existing homes occupied by low-income families. PCHTF thanks Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity for its dedication to affordable housing, and for this recognition. We look forward to working with them for years to come!

PCHTF helps build & maintain hundreds of homes
In our fiscal year ending June 30, 2015, the Polk County Housing Trust Fund allocated almost $2.1 million for creating new and preserving existing inventory of affordable housing in Polk County.  Recipients of funding included not-for-profit and for-profit developers, organizations focused on rehabilitation of owner occupied homes for low-income households, and rehabilitation of single-family rental homes affordable to families making less than 30% of area median income.
