PCHTF Board of Directors Approves New Funding Allocations
At its meeting on June 7th the Polk County Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors approved over $2M of funding for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013. Almost $400,000.00 was allocated to 6 non-profit housing providers to help underwrite their operating and programming costs. Total awards ranged from $25,000.00 to $117,000.00. These funds were provided by the DONORS to the Combined Campaign for Housing.
In addition, the Board allocated over $1.8M to various development activities including funds for additional affordable rental unit development, owner occupied repairs and affordable single family construction. A copy of the approved Housing Allocation Plan can be found HERE.

July Bus Tour to Feature ISU Study

The second installment of the PCHTF commissioned inventory of affordable housing will be released on July 8th. This study will form the basis for the long term funding strategy of the Housing Trust Fund. Dr. Jane Rongerude will use the July bus tour to put that research into context. The tour will be July 19th between 9 and 11:30 am.

Wells Fargo National Rebuilding Day in Central Iowa
Install two ramps, 17 windows, nine new appliances, five roofs, 25 smoke and carbon dioxide detectors, six gutters, paint 12 homes, repair ceilings at five of the homes, hang drywall at 19 and repair plumbing at nine and replace flooring.
