Lake Verona Multi-Path Project Nears Completion
Work on the Lake Verona multi-path project is nearing completion. Residents may now walk a scenic path that meanders between the grass and the sandy beach. Benches have been strategically placed for lake viewing. Decorative lighting will soon be installed for evening walks. A staging area for small receptions and/or weddings is available free of charge. Pavilion reservations are $25 if your would like to rent a pavilion for the day. Contact City Hall at 452-4403 for more information. The entire project is sponsored by the Avon Park Main Street CRA.
Annual Avon Park

Avon Park Historical Society presents the Annual Avon Park Reunion Picnic on August 24th at 12 noon. The public is invited. The picnic will be at the Community Center and is free to all. Oktoberfest Seeks Vendors
The Sixth Annual Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 10 am - 4 pm. The one-day festival starts at Museum Avenue with Wiener Dog races and Firematics (Fireman Olympics), following down Main Street with Oompa music, a beer tent, bounce houses and kids' activities, a classic car show, arts, crafts, live rock music, food vendors, and a Bavarian Olympics competition!
