SpaceX Launches Falcon 9 Rocket
Next Generation Rocket
The private spaceflight company SpaceX launched the first of its new-and-improved Falcon 9 rockets from the California coast Sunday (Sept. 29), an ambitious test flight that also marked the company's first flight from the West Coast.
 
"It was an amazing flight," SpaceX's Falcon 9 product manager John Insprucker said in a launch webcast. "There's tons of data coming back and it looks like it was a picture-perfect flight. Everything was looking good right down the middle of the track." More

Dave Brenner is the Executive Director of Innovation Park

at Notre Dame. Founded in 2009 by Mr. Brenner, Innovation Park has become a significant contributor to the creation of a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem at the University of Notre Dame, to cultivate new ideas emerging from university research into marketable new ventures.

 

David is an accomplished executive, with over 35 years of experience in FORTUNE 100 companies, including: IdeaWorks, LLC; Amway Corp.; Kelloggs; Johnson & Johnson; and Procter & Gamble. He has been very active with the Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies in the Mendoza College of Business and is a member of its advisory board, a member of the Board of Directors for the Irish Angels, and is also a board member of a number of non-profit boards. In your own unique way, how do you define innovation?

In my opinion a true innovation must be successfully deployed to its intended audience, and once done, its adopters don't (or won't) revert to their prior behavior or choices. Can anyone imagine the world going back to a crank phone network? More
