The Ultimate Success Story

Following their win of a Gold Edison Award in 2012, Aaron Lamb and his colleagues at Ergologistics found themselves in a situation where they had more business than they could handle. As a result of their aggressive promotion of their Award winning status, they not only ramped up sales, but caught the eye of a busines suitor.

Fast forward a few months: Ergologistics was recently acquired by Southworth Products International in a deal that retained the integrity of the original development team in their own headquarters (see related story, right).  "I feel that the Edison Awards was the tipping point for all of this, and Southworth is a great global leader in our industry and a perfect partner. We will be stronger with them," said Aaron Lamb, the company's President.

We here at the Edison Awards offer our hearty congratulations and best wishes to the entire Ergologistics team.

Lift'n Buddy at ScienceFIST

As part of a series of "Learning Exchange" sessions organized by Edison Universe, a number of past Edison Award winners are working with the Chicago-based organization, the ScienceFIST Foundation to help inspire inner-city youth.

In the EU  program, company executives have an opportunity to interact with the children, talk about the history of their innovations, and inspire their curiosity and inventiveness. To learn more about the Edison Universe Learning Exchange program, click here.

Feedback on MTI Program Line Up

Members of the Edison Awards community responded enthusiastically to the announcement of speakers at this year's Meet the Innovators (MTI) Forum, remarking on the high caliber and remarkable breadth of experience that will be represented on the stage on April 25.

Topics that will be explored during the full-day agenda include everything from the future of journalism and media to how the individualization of medicine will affect the global population.  Yet another panel will explore social innovation as a new framework for solutions with sustainable impact.

In addition to presentations from several of this year's Award winners, Forum attendees will also engage in a unique, new ideation session in which they'll get to exercise their innovative thinking, working together to solve challenges proposed by organizations such as Mayo Clinic, among others.

The MTI Forum will be facilitated by Edison Awards Steering Committee member Sheree Speakman (see below).  For complete program details, click here.
