Everett Community College Receives a Special Delivery from FedEx

Donated Boeing 727 FedEx Plane

FedEx donated a 727 freighter to Everett Community College's

Aviation Maintenance Technician School. The plane, will allow students to gain the skills to help prepare them for future employment in the aerospace industry.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and EvCC President David Beyer welcomed the delivery with a celebration and a tour of the airplane.

"When I saw that airplane, I realized that our aerospace future will be just as bright - or brighter - than our aerospace past,"
said Washington Gov. Jay Inslee at the celebration.

"Thanks to FedEx Express, EvCC students will be able to do hands-on training with a large aircraft, enhancing their skills and helping Washington lead the way as the world's aerospace training center," said EvCC President David Beyer.

The FedEx gift to EvCC marks the 76th 727 the company has donated over the last several years to aviation schools, colleges, local community airports and fire departments for training purposes coast to coast. Read more...
