More than 8 million Americans have gout, and the patient numbers are rising. However, just 10 percent of patients are receiving proper treatment. A better understanding of gout can contribute to faster and more accurate diagnosis, improved treatment and identification of possible comorbidities.
The recently launched website is a central source of gout information for patients and medical professionals. The medical professional portal of the website was specifically developed for those in the medical field and offers gout diagnosis, treatment and management information.
Resources include a medical professional guide, brochures in English and Spanish, fact sheets and videos featuring patient testimonials and physician advice from medical experts.
