The Lay Academy: A Transformational Ministry

The Lay Academy is a transformational ministry that helps attendees carry our church into the future. In the video below, past Lay Academy Minister/Director, Rev. Deborah Payden, and incoming Director Rev. Tisha Brown discuss the role this ministry plays in the lives of those who attend, and in the lives of the churches they are a part of.

2015 Trip to the Holy Land: Come and See

 

April 23-May 4: These are the dates for the next trip to the Holy Land sponsored by the Southwest Association's Bethlehem Partnership Committee and led by Bonnie Van Overbeke and Nancy Baumgartner. If you have ever wanted to see the holy sites you have read about since childhood or meet the people who live in the holy land today, this is the trip for you! Since 2004 Nancy and Bonnie have led 7 trips and have developed contacts with Palestinians and Israelis who seek peace in the midst of conflict and occupation. They would love to share these places and these people with you!

The German Westend Gospel Singers Tour

 

The 35-voice Westend Gospel Singers is a dynamic outreach ministry of the congregation in Eberswalde, a city located 30 miles northeast of Berlin in former East Germany. During their two-week September tour, they will sing gospel music in English at UCC churches in Wisconsin and the Chicago area. The Westend Gospel Singers toured Wisconsin in 2006 and 2010; the Wisconsin Gospellers visited Germany in 2008 and 2012.

Calvary Memorial Church image

Calvary Memorial UCC, in the Southeast Association in Wauwatosa, is led by Rev. Deborah Howland. Calvary was formed in 1954 by the merger of two churches in Wauwatosa: Peace Memorial (originally Friedens Evangelical Kirche) and St. Paul's Church.
