On my recent trip to Germany, I did my best to try to learn a little more German. There were two words that intrigued me, perhaps because I heard them so often. They seemed to be spoken in almost every setting, be it a women's group at church, a clergy gathering, in a sermon or in casual conversation. I finally asked my host about these words. The first word, gemeinsam, means "together." When I asked about the second word, my host chuckled and told me that word, zusammen, means "together." How fitting, as "together" best represents what I experienced while in Germany.

Spring and Summer Camp Opportunities
Spring is here!!! And so are many opportunities to ignite your fire, feed your soul, and build your faith at Moon Bea ch or Pilgrim Center. In April Pilgrim Center is hosting a Symposium entitled The 21st Century Worship: Are You Upgraded? April and May also bring opportunities for you to come and help both camps prepare for our summer ministry season and with our Mission 4/1 Earth Projects. There are also craft weekends, fishing weekends, and Earth Family Camps in May. While at ucci.org remember to sign up for our summer family and youth camps as they are filling up. Widening the Welcome is a pre-synod, one day national gathering about developing the life of congregations to include persons with disabilities and persons with mental illnesses/brain disorders and their families. The event is hosted by the UCC Disabilities Ministries and the UCC Mental Illness Network, and the keynote speakers are Susan Gregg-Schroeder, author of In the Shadow of God's Wings: Grace in the Midst of Depression, and Kathy N.
