DMMC 2013 Springfield Drive Down
We are excited to announce that the Conference has successfully resumed its annual Drive Down to Springfield. Over 50 municipal officials lobbied for the Conference's legislative priorities during the DMMC 2013 Springfield Drive Down on May 14-15. The event featured an evening reception co-hosted with the Metro West Council of Government and meetings with a number of legislators, including Senate President John Cullerton, Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno, Senate President Pro Tempore Don Harmon, and various other legislators from the DuPage area. Members also held a press conference and attended a lunch featuring Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka as keynote speaker. Thank you to all who helped make the 2013 Springfield Drive Down a success. |

Our benchmark, Barclay's Capital 1-3 Year Government Index provided a 0.65% total return for the same period. Since inception IMET's total return has been 4.24% on a gross of fee basis compared to the benchmark, which also provided a total return of 4.24% for the same time period. IMET's net of fees return for the last 12 months was 0.30%.
IMET's Convenience Fund continued to provide a strong, competitive rate to IMET members as the Convenience Fund posted a net one-month return of 0.03 percent as of March 31, 2013 with an average daily yield for the month of 0.33%, and a net one-year return of .032 percent as of March 31.

It offers daily liquidity and remains a very good investment option for a diverse investment portfolio providing members with safety, liquidity, and yield. The blended daily CVF rate is posted on IMET's website, www.investIMET.com and is updated daily.
