Walt Judas named as new CEO of TIABC
Vancouver, BC - The Board of Directors has selected Walt Judas as the next Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC), effective May 15, 2015.
Walt Judas is the former Vice President, Marketing Communications, Member Services & Sport for Tourism Vancouver. As part of the senior management team, Walt managed the departments of Member Relations, Sponsorship, Marketing Services, Travel & Trade Media Relations, and Destination Development. He also handled corporate communications and was the organization's primary spokesperson.
Most recently, Walt served on over a dozen local committees including FIFA Women's World Cup Advisory Committee, the Better Transit and Transportation Coalition, the Vancouver Sport Network's Grant Review Committee, the City of Vancouver's Transportation Advisory Group, and the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association's Access and Mobility Committee.
Walt holds a Bachelor of Hospitality Management Degree from Vancouver Community College. He also earned a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and a Management Certificate in Marketing Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
