The EAX-300 configuration is very versatile. The default configuration is door mounted using internal sensors, but can be wall mounted in order to monitor doors from the wall. Wall mounting can also monitor multiple doors.
The EAX-300 is equipped with a jumper (JP1) that gives the internal sensors power, enabling it to be door mounted and interact with the magnet on the frame.
If wall mounting is desired, cutting JP1 permanently disables the internal sensors and monitors external contacts, such as MS-1039S/1059S or MS-2049S.
Cutting JP 1 will no longer allow the alarm to be mounted on the door.
The EAX-500 alarm has the same optional wall-mounted feature.
