Battery Powered Door Alarm

The Detex EAX-500 is designed for applications that require a battery-powered alarm on secured doors. The alarm, with approximately 100dB, will sound when someone attempts an unauthorized exit. The redesigned shape and smaller size of the EAX-500 makes it the choice for quick and easy installations on emergency exit and restricted doors.

Tapered cover allows for installation on narrow stile doors, 2" minimum

Tech Tip

The Key Stop feature adds an extra measure of security by allowing the key to be removed only when the alarm is armed. The hardware needed for installing this feature is included in the hardware kit that accompanies your exit alarm.

Detex provides two types of Key Stop for two different types of cam: the KS is used with the standard Yale style cam, while the KS2 is used with the Adams Rite small style cam.
