It's Both An Exit Alarm
And A Door Prop Alarm
The Detex EAX-3500 is designed for applications requiring a hardwired, timed bypass alarm with rechargeable backup battery. The 100-decibel alarm will sound when someone attempts an unauthorized exit. The EAX-3500 can be temporarily bypassed for deliveries and trash removal, but cannot be left disarmed.

Cylinder Nut Socket
 Make installing Mortise cylinders on Detex Exit Alarms easier with the Cylinder Nut Socket.
Screwing the Cylinder Nut on the back of the Mortise cylinder with a screwdriver alone can damage the switches and the other sensitive parts in your Exit Alarm, but when the Cylinder Nut Socket is used, it drastically reduces chances that the switches will be damaged, and will help ensure proper tightening of the Mortise Cylinder.

Tech Tip
The Detex MS-1039S and MS-1059S Magnetic Door Contacts can be used with the EAX-3500, EAX-2500, EAX-411, EAX-300 and EAX-500, allowing a wall mounted alarm to monitor one or two doors. The Detex MS-1039S and MS-1059S Magnetic Door Contacts provide a higher level of security, because unlike common magnetic door contacts, it is extremely difficult to defeat the Detex MS-1039S and MS-1059S Magnetic Door Contacts. Most common magnetic door contacts can easily be defeated by a second magnet, however the alarm will typically sound if a second magnetic is placed near a Detex MS-1039S and MS-1059S.
Due to this higher level of security, extra care should be taken when installing the MS-1039S or MS-1059S. Special attention should be used when using the template and marking the mounting holes. Special care should be used when installing the magnetic portion (door mounted) as it must be orientated correctly in relationship to the switch portion (frame mounted). Pay close attention during the installation, be sure and read the simple instructions and this will avoid problems and provide a more secure installation.
