Featured Feline:
Tiger

Add a description
Tiger came to us at the beginning of February because his owner passed away. He is handsome... and he knows it! Tiger loves to talk. He is a very curious and adventurous kitty who likes to explore his surroundings. Tiger really enjoys getting attention, and being petted is one of his favorite things! Please come meet this furr-ocious little guy today!
Compatible Canine:
Tundra

Tundra was returned to us at the end of January because he was being too rowdy. He is a very active boy who has so much energy to burn, you'll have to make sure he has tons of one-on-one attention, playtime, and other activities every day to get him good and tired. (When he's tired, he's an easygoing, happy boy!) We recommend he go to a home without small children, just because he is such an overgrown puppy! Tundra already knows how to sit, but he still jumps a lot. He would benefit from obedience training with a focus on positive reinforcement and consistency. You'll have to be patient with him, because he has a very short attention span. (He loves treats, so that's your way in!) Tundra has a great personality and likes to make friends with everyone he meets. If Tundra sounds like a good fit for your lifestyle, come meet this sweetie today!

Volunteer Spotlight: Karen Vlasek

Karen has been volunteering with her granddaughter, Makayla Ozmun, since last June. Karen often brings Makayla to the shelter to socialize cats.

Karen and Makayla have volunteered at several off-site events. Whenever we ask for baked goods, Karen is the first to volunteer her culinary skills! Karen baked goods for Dog-O-hand and pawWeen in October, and then she and Makayla popped in the day of the event and went right to work.

When we asked for help at the Chili Supper, Karen and Makayla were the first to respond. Karen baked her wonderful goodies, which were gone in a heartbeat! (Her yummy baked goods have such a reputation that people ask, "Did Karen make that?") Karen also greeted folks as they arrived at the chili supper and stayed all evening to help wherever she was needed.

Karen, thank you for all you do! We truly appreciate your sharing your love of animals with your granddaughter and guiding her along the path of cheerful volunteerism.

Happy Tail: Sadie a Very Welcome Addition

Hi, everyone!

I wanted to let you know how Sadie is doing in her new home. She is a wonderful pup and is doing just fine. The only thing she doesn't like is our kitty, but I'm sure that will change in time. She loves to go outside and run free in the backyard. She is also very attentive and a good watch dog. She has free run of the house and loves it. I am so glad I saw her picture online and got to meet her right away.

Thank you everyone for your time spent with me and my daughter. We are so excited to have adopted Sadie! She is a very welcome addition to our family! God bless you for your work for all the homeless animals.

Denise B.

Remember, YOU can
send us your Happy Tail, too!
