Documentary "Milwaukee 53206"
 set for world premiere 
Sponsored by the Milwaukee Film Festival, the documentary "Milwaukee 53206" will launch its world premiere here 7p.m. June 14 . The film speaks to the lives of community members living in the 53206 zip code which has the highest incarceration rates of African-American males in the United States. 
 
"It's...my hope the film will offer an avenue for people to look deeper into the justice system and how it's impacting families and communities, not just in the 53206 ZIP code, but across the nation," "Milwaukee 53206" director Keith McQuirter said in a statement. 
 
Adelante (Forward) workshop to focus on engaging Latino community in Milwaukee
The Latino community is the fastest growing population in the United States and Wisconsin. The Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will sponsor the event as part of its Boys & Men of Color series to support and encourage Latino boys and young men.
Precious Lives goes live at the Pabst Theatre
 Created by 371 Productions, Precious Lives is a documentary series highlighting the effects gun violence has on young people in Milwaukee. The project took two years of work to produce the 100 part radio series.

Now the project will move from online to on stage at the Pabst Theatre 5 p.m. June 5. The live performance will contain music, dancing, singing, and videos pieces to tell the story of those who suffer from Milwaukee gun violence.

Restorative practices training offered to work towards reducing conflict in communities
The Coming Together Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence trains various agencies and individuals to implement Restorative Practices. Youth learn to employ RP practices in interactive class sessions and positively impact their communities.
