We want to thank all our members for all their support and words of encouragement through the course of the season. As we finish 2015 we are looking ahead to 2016. Next week membership forms for the 2015 season will be emailed.   Thanks again for a great season and we hope to see all our members return for another year!

THE DIRT
Notes from the field

There is a common misconception that come December farmers hibernate for the winter. Ah, if only it were true. The first week in December I will be sitting down with seed catalogs and the 2015 crop plan to start planning for the 2016 season.

To help me do this I need some help from all the 2015 Rushton Farm CSA members. The below link is a survey for the 2015 season. This survey helps me to better understand what members liked, didn't like and whether the share size for each of the crops was sufficient. To make the crop plan and seed order it would be helpful if all our members would take the time to fill out the survey. It is not long and the information it provides helps greatly in improving the crop selection and varieties for the upcoming season.

Thank you,
Fred
