management duties. Matt is also focusing on our Henry's Harvest donation garden, the produce of which is donated to the underserved at West Chester Food Cupboard. Matt's long term goal is to run an urban farm in Philadelphia. Brownyn is additionally responsible for managing the cutting flowers and herbs in the farmshed garden. She is a freshman music major at West Chester University, concentrating on violin.

Julia Fisher

We first met
Julia Fisher last year when she spent her two-week Shipley senior service project with us. Now a rising sophomore at Bates College, Julia is a first year Rushton Farm intern for the summer. She will be receiving an overall introduction to agroecology, performing general field work at the farm, spending time with the bird conservation program, and working on educational materials for school groups who visit the farm.High school seniors

installing 360 linear feet of bog bridges at Ashbridge and Rushton WoodsPreserve, improving accessibility to the wettest sections of these trails. They also helped with wildflower plantings and maintenance of the native planting beds surrounding the Trust's office. Forrest is beginning college atTemple University this fall, and Kavanaugh is enrolled in the engineering college at Virginia Tech.

Tim Elliott

Tim Elliott, a rising junior at Lafayette College majoring in English and Government/Law, has been rotating through various functional areas of the Trust, helping with land stewardship, community farm, event management, and grant research. He helped with the bog bridge construction at Ashbridge and Rushton Woods Preserve and will be developing a training manual for farm interns and docents.

Kristen Henwood

Kristen Henwood, a recent graduate from UPenn's
Environmental Studies Master's Program, has just
begun a series of rotational assignments which will provide her with a broad overview of the Trust's operations. Her first assignment is to reorganize and refine the Trust's Junior Birding Club curriculum documentation and communications materials. Future assignments will include assisting with the Trust's accreditation renewal process, developing agroecology handouts for school groups who visit Rushton Woods Preserve, and creation of a children's activity center at Rushton Farm.

Kelsey Lingle

Kelsey Lingle, a recent studio art graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, began her internship in November 2012, assisting with visual communications including graphic design, web content development, and email communications. Her long-term project is a compilation of Wild Carrot
newsletters and recipes. We are pleased to announce that as of April 2013, Kelsey has accepted a part-time position with the Trust as Visual Communications Associate.
