Greetings from the Log Cabin
Camp Echo's Home at the McGaw YMCA
Over the last ten years, Camp Echo continuously increased the amount of fee assistance given to campers. In 2005, a total of 77 campers and 2 families received $45,403 in fee assistance to attend Camp Echo. By 2014, those numbers had increased to 220 campers and 22 families receiving a total of $186,387.
We have made great progress thanks to the hard work of Echo staff to recruit campers, support families through the pre-camp processes, and deliver transformative experiences every summer. This 400% increase in fee assistance over the last 10 years is also directly linked to the inspiring generosity of Camp Echo donors.
However, the need to support campers in our community is growing. Camp Echo is working strategically to serve this growing need with increased staff resources, support of individual campers and families, and expanding community partnerships. I thank our great supporters for your continued financial support and commitment to Camp Echo's mission-driven work.
The evolving Camp Echo master plan will be another key step in determining how we can best meet community needs. I ask that you take a few moments to complete the survey shared in this newsletter to help us through this process.
It is going to be a transformational summer
