Towering Opportunity
|
It's either a two-bedroom property right next to a freeway in a gritty industrial area, or one of the most remarkable properties you've ever seen. A clocktower penthouse loft in San Francisco's SoMa neighborhood just went on the market for the first time in 23 years - offered at $8.5 million. The slender brick-and-timber structure was a symbol of the city's economic prowess when it went up 94 years ago to crown the massive factory of the Schmidt Lithograph Corp. - the city's largest employer and the largest printer on the West Coast, at the time. Now, it can be yours. Listing photos are online here.
